i detest the cold
sorry to start a poem
on a negative note
but i genuinely
abhor the frigidweather canada
offers
nevertheless
there are indeed
perks to being surrounded
with a chill in the air
and tons of snow
like for example
maple syrup
candy sticks
for those of you who\’ve
never experienced it — might
i suggest a trip to quebec during
carnaval— fresh snow is placed
on a table then this warm taffy
maple syrup concoction is poured
onto the snow — rolled up around
a popsicle — oh my goddess
i\’ve hallucinated over
delicate taste of maple
