Dedication to the GORGEOUS LGTBQ Community
This year Macklemore & Ryan Lewis preformed “Same Love” at the 2014 Grammy’s it was inspirational, poignant and greatly appropriate. It is quite sorrowful to see how the LGTB community still has to struggle to maintain their rights. Their rights are you kidding me?! I can see this being a prevalent issue in the 50’s or 60’s where ignorance still reigned but 2014 this is disgraceful to humanity. How many LGTB children, adults have killed themselves, been murdered or severely beaten because of lack of acceptance? I have some stats for you — according to Gay Star News “New figures claim 78 trans people have already been killed in 13 countries this year and 1233 in 59 countries since January 2008” These HUMAN BEINGS all have people that love them, due to hate crimes these men, women including teens in some cases have lost the right to their full life and potential because someone did not understand who they were or why. Here is the answer you don’t have to understand you just have to be empathetic/sympathetic and show humanity to quote Elvis Costello “Peace, Love and Understanding.” I realise this sounds a bit naïve and idealistic but as humans we need more dreamers wishing and praying for a unified earth.
I can’t imagine the confusion the LGTB community goes through, can you envision being born a girl and feeling so wrong that you do not fit in because in your heart you know you are a boy in all ways possible except one. Why care, if a man wants to marry a man or a woman marry a woman? If someone doesn’t feel right in their body? We should not care because there is no choice in the matter, people are people and judgment should be tossed out the window or what ever you want to throw something from, we are NOT perfect creatures. Doesn’t the LGBT community have enough sorrow and ill treatment wherever they go? Why add fuel to a bunch of bodies that do nothing but exist to be the best human beings they can. Isn`t that what we all want?
Currently, at a loss for words except this is \”bloody 2014!\” Will let my poetry speak for me — this is a message being directly addressed to the LGTB community you are all humans who like anyone else deserve to be loved, adored, respected and treated EQUALLY. I dedicate my “Ode to Self-Respect” to all of you. May your community be given global comprehension, frienship, empathy NOT APATHY our Mother Earth is already saturated with enough blood!

I alone can stand on the foothills
of the snow-capped Himalayas,
