Terrified

I went for a walk the other day
  I came across this magnificent Elk
 a beautiful coat of light brown fun
    regal antlers with the capacity
           to span of four feet
        elegant curves

  One look and I was paralyzed
the purpose of my trek was to absolve
   from a tether that had me anchored
 and not for the better
   immobilized authentically scared
 I don’t like being seen through
    it makes me feel vulnerable
 although not disrobed
    all of a sudden
       I felt naked
          and scared

Surrender is not in my forte
   my typical response as a child
 fluctuated between attack
    and absolute devastation

   seven times the seventh cycle
 approaches quite quickly
   with that all the layers shed
      a new being emerges
