I don’t know if many of you remember, years ago when I first started CCIQ Press, I wrote the foreword to this incredible novel entitled Cinephilia By Grant Jolly (which I honestly hope Grants writes a part 2). I am back today to tell you a little bit more about Grant, not as a poet or writer but as a photographer.
Photography is a different kind of art, with the tool of a camera one can capture the most expressive images — only if they occupy vision and imagination. Two things that Grant has on a ten fold level. I asked Grant for a little blurb on his photography endeavors and this is what he had to say:
“I’m a 34 year old writer and photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland. I’ve been fascinated with art and photography from a very young age. The idea of seeing my creative vision brought to life pushed me to pick up a camera and start shooting. I’ve had a notebook in my back pocket and a camera hanging from my neck ever since. I’m a huge fan of hitting the streets with my Fujifilm X-Pro2 and a 35mm lens, capturing anything that excites me along the way. I enjoy talking to interesting people and making portraits — sometimes posed, other times candid. My goal is to make pictures that start conversations. Pictures that people can look back on in the future and cherish forever.”
