Some of Sonja\’s favourites by her!

Hunting

I rummage bins, bookcases, and
rows of hardcover
relics and artifacts

coated cardstock
cream linen paper lathered
with inkblots and anecdotes

an ongoing venture of culture
scouting libraries,
bookstores, galleries,
and museums

I scroll book after book
page after page
sifting sand to spy the ruby

the unveiling
of legendary artistry
the breathtaking intricacies
of brush strokes on canvas
the heightened mind
enlightened by voyage
a well-crafted passage
a masterpiece.

           Adjoin

We connect
    a peculiar fascination

intrigued by inner workings
of your miraculous mind

magnetic forces
       a strange collaboration

syncing brainwaves
renders seismic vibrations.

Phosphorescent

Colonies
of creatures
flourish
deep underwater;
anemones,
tree worms,
glass sponges
pulse
with vibrancy
on the coral reef.

We all thrive
in different
conditions.
