"…HOW PLEASED I WAS TO BE RELEASED TO BE THIS MAN, WITH A VOICE THE WORLD COULD HEAR, TO SHARE MY PASSION AS THIS TRAVELLING BALLADEER…"

i\’ve been contemplating
    what is required to determine
how the weight of a man
            is measured

     are there possibilities
  in pixie dust to transform
a humble puppet adorned
   with tethered strings
       to control and manipulate
           each and every
                movement

at what point can a massive
     sized pair of kitchen shears
        slice through not only

the simple outer cotton thread
    but also the impenetrable
        wire chord that fortifies
           the stiffness within these
              delicate laces

pinocchio should be afforded
   any human chance possible
       as he discovered mankind
           can be consumed with ugly
             bile riddled beings
                that strength
                    the spirit

       can not only illuminate
     an organic core but also
         one that is constructed
             with cogs that move
                  to form facial expressions
                      absent of a true
                           essence

   subterfuge aligns itself
       with verity — scissors
          are not enough
              to snip the cord
           one concept
       however — what if pinocchio\’s
rebellion included — literally and violently
one firm grasp on every string
adorned to his body and tears it out

blood would be replaced with splinters
            however a sense of emancipation
to stand tall on two wooden feet
that did not require the aid
of a human hand to directly lift
           any available appendages

   no more

        \”no strings on me!
              no strings on me!\”
